My first event of 2009, my partner and I defeated Jose Loiola, arguable one of the best players to ever play beach volleyball. Starting the year off with a win like that set the foundation for very successful year. The next tournament, The Houston Open, brought about even more success as my partner and I took a win over 2003-2006 AVP's #1 player on tour, Stein Metzger, an Olympian who has a Hall of Fame career. The San Diego and Huntington Beach Open followed, and both tournaments were big successes. We took down the winning team of the 2002 Huntington Beach Open, two-time Olympians Jason Ring and George Roumian. If that wasn't enough to secure a place on the tour, we went on to defeat Casey Patterson and Ty Loomis, champions of the Brooklyn Open.

My goal is to be number one on tour. Today I am ranked in the top twenty, with four wins over top ten teams and one win over a top five team. It has always been a dream of mine to make it to the Olympics, and I hope to do so in the 2012 games. My career is going in the right direction and I am working hard to make it to the top.
